Senior Planning Officer (Major Projects)
Salary: £32,234 – £35,745

We are looking to appoint a Senior Planning Officer to support the Principal Planning Officer for Major Projects and make a positive difference to Lichfield District.
The Council has a significant growth agenda and a strong emphasis on quality design, and we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the team to contribute towards this. Your work will include dealing with major planning applications and projects, with an emphasis on contributing towards the Council’s committed development team approach and high quality service.
Ideally we are looking for someone who is a qualified planner (MRTPI) or working towards this, with post qualification experience in development management, including within a Local Planning Authority. You should have a good knowledge of the planning system and excellent organisational and time management skills. Working as part of a team, with the ability to negotiate on complex schemes and have good written and verbal communication skills are all critical for the role. An appreciation and understanding of urban design principles would also be very useful.
