Testimonials from our DM Team
Lichfield is a fun place to work with a lively planning team. In planning terms there is a lot going on with some really interesting issues arising from its rich history, green belt, and nature conservation sites, as well as a wide variety of housing types and characters. It’s a great place to gain a solid grounding in all things planning!
I’ve been planning in Lichfield for almost 2 years now, I really enjoy the variety of applications we get in the District with a good mix of constraints and in-house specialists to support officers with their expert knowledge. I’ve been supported in my growth and had opportunities both to progress and develop. The Development Management Team has a mentoring program so I’ve not only benefitted from support from senior officers but also supported colleagues too. Having hybrid working has been good for me too, the team makes good use of teams having chats and virtual tea breaks so we stay connected.
I have been at Lichfield for just over 6 months and have really enjoyed being part of a great team which is well supported by elected members and acknowledged as an important service being delivered by the Council. Lichfield District is a beautiful and diverse district with a good mix of urban and rural development sites and application types to offer real career progression.
